I could really Yell or Smack a Pediatrician

Ok so here I go with a vent for all LOL.. Bubba's main pediatrician recently closed his practice. Not because of anything bad or loss of business but for bettering our local ER and bringing in a Pediatric Urgent Care. Which Yuma needs terribly. BUT!! I am now at the mercy of Pediatricians that I feel are uneducated in the aspect of special needs. Do not get me wrong, they know special needs they handle special needs but they are NOT Bubba's fav Pediatrician. I guess I'm partial to him because he and I had an understanding and worked well together. But now I am fighting all over again...
I cannot stand a doctor talking to me as if I am stupid. Yet when I tell him something he does not want to fully hear what I am saying.. Like really I deal w/ this w/ my dbf I do not and will not take it from someone who gets paid to listen to my issues or concerns on my son... Men are IDIOTS... Except my son's they have yet to take on the idiot role. Haha!!

The School Life....

So my baby is no longer a baby (well obviously since he is 4 now LOL). I used to get away with everyone telling me come on now you know your getting the baby itch (seriously is there such a thing??) and I would say no way I have my baby. Since Bubba is very little it really is like having a baby around still. He isn't talking or running around he is combat crawling and making vocal sounds just nothing that really has any words to it. At one point a while ago there was the mamama and the occasional dadada but that has since stopped. Is it a regression? Maybe or maybe its Bubba say'n hey I know who you are and how to get your attention without saying Mama or Dada.. And he does believe me.

For those that have a special needs child or a family member with a special needs child getting them in school if they need equipment to do so is such a PITA (pain in the a..) For almost a year we were on the schedule for the wheelchair clinic. Since Bubba cannot walk he must be transported to school and within school boundaries in a wheelchair/transportation chair. Which is great once we finally got it. It looks like a wheelchair but I have been calling it his "Supped-Up" wheelchair. Because it has special padding, harnesses, a work tray & a wheelie bar (which of course is the best part LOL). Yes when the time comes he will learn to pop a mean wheelie... LOL...

Since Bubba has started school (he is in Pre-K) he has shown a different side of himself. He is happier, makes more noises, constantly active and doing something with his toys. Just his alertness is incredible. He actually tries and watches some television. Where before he wouldn't look at it much. I am grateful for the new Bubba that has evolved in just this first month of school. Whats also wonderful is he is not in just a "Special Ed" class. There are normal children among the special needs children. This is great because kids that do not know the difference between normal and special are now given a new look at others. Even though it was a scary thought and his father did not think he was ready for it. I have always been the one that pushes the need for him to live as much of a normal life as he can. And just his reaction for school is AWESOME!! His daily excitement of the bus ride and the chair ride to class he is all smiles and raspberries!! That in itself is pure heaven hearing the sounds of his happiness.

So my baby is no longer a baby he is a bone-a-fied School Boy aka Big Boy!!!!
